Finished her quite some time ago, but never did post her here. This Cammy is completely hand painted, and wasn't terrible to build. She isn't perfect, she has some ruff spots on her legs and I painted her brows to light... Her braids were a pain in the ass to get to sit right too... Overall though an ok assembly. Comments welcome, She's not horrible lol.

Hrmmm haven't been around here lately... been quite a while sense my late post. Trying to get back into things now, as I kinda fell out of it for a longgg time (Ah life...). Anyway, thinking of giving the blog a face lift so bare with any weird ass things that might pop up in the mean time.

sometimes I feel like I'm writing to myself, as I'm not convinced many read this lol.

Couldn't resist!! Had to preorder this fantastic pvc by Alter... Probably one of the best looking pvc's I have seen too date! Nothing about her is short of beautiful. Amiami has one of the best prices on her and she is due out in April 2011. Super pumped!

It's been a while sense I posted any work... Most because I lost inspiration halfway through this project but I muscled though an finally finished her.
She is a tiny girl, detailing was difficult... All hand painted as usual. She has some imperfections, but she looks ok I guess.
I hand painted the base, tried to be creative and add a paw print didnt turn out too good, oh well! ^^;

Also, She fell off the table and her head cracked off, screwing up the paint on her neck I was too mad to fix it.

Bome 04: Halloween Chan

The fourth girl in the Bome line is another of my personal favorites. Halloween Chan is super adorable. The quality of the Pvc is pretty standard, no real surface flaws. She rests on a post stemming from her base, which pops into her back. The post is a little wobbly, but a decent way to display her. Her character design is one of my favs! everything about her is amazing cute ^___^

Bome 03: Oni Musume V2

Onward with the Bome girls! We hve the second version of Oni Musume, looking rather provocative might I add. She has a pretty face and takes up a little bi of shelf space with her "wide" stance. The Pvc dosn't have a lot of flaws like the first version of her... not to much else to say on this one! ^^; Again sorry for the shoddy pictures >.>

Bome 02: Tora Musume

So the second girl in the Bome run is Tora Musume. She is one of my personal favorites, and while I do love her original color scheme I opted for the alt on her as well. Her blonde hair stood out amongst my other pvc girls.
I really should have put more effort into these photos... I realize that now ^^;
I love the pose on this girl, and her wing span is quite impressive. My only issue is she has some trouble fitting into her stand... anyway picture time!

Bome 01: Oni Musume

Well, decided to share some images of my Bome collection girl by girl. Best place to start is at the beginning I suppose. Oni Musume is the first of the series and makes a reappearance in other poses later on. For anyone not familiar with Bome his official site is here and his Wiki is here
anyway. I have his entire official series... So why not share? ^__^
Back to Oni Musume. I own the Blue alt version. I opted for blue because I own all the other versions of her in her traditional red/tiger color.

I apologize in advance for the poor image quality... There is something going funny with my camera

The pvc quality is not great on this one... lots of little blemishes and imperfections. It would seam a lot of these things got corrected later in the line.

Didn't take many pictures of this girl. As you can see, she is a pretty girl but you can tell she is the first. I will take more/better pictures of the other girls ^^;

Girls were decently priced, and the first PVC's I have bought in forever now ^^;

my finished Mion and Shion... There are some things I would have done differently if I had my time back. They are far from perfect but pretty dec for a first shot at a major conversion...

Last Wip Post

So here are the last odds and ends of the Wip, it's been a long process for sure! Lots learned and lots of mistakes made. Hopefully my next conversion will be better then this one!

Went to WalMart and bought these ribbons for less then $1 a roll, they had lots of nice colors

Time for an update! Thanks to those still following, I know my progress is pretty slow!

Anyway,
So sense my last update I have gotten a fair bit done! In fact in am n to painting

One of the last mods I had to do was change the bangs. I initially sculpted all these tiny hair pieces, but in the end the bangs didn't really match the style of hair the characters have. So I scrapped them and made more "simplistic" looking bangs.

I have a lot of the painting done! In fact Shion is ready for assembly! ^___^ Unfortunately, I don't have any really fancy techniques to show you as I hand paint everything.. no airbrush! >.<

Faces! The pupils of their eyes are actually really dark green, but you can't really tell in the pictures Used some Future floor Finish to give the eyes some shine ^^

I am still working on some of Mion's parts, hoping to have her finished up in the next few days!
I hit a dillema with her Tie, In the anime it's a pale green color. One the manga covers, its red! So I dug up some reference from the game! Red tie it is! (I was glad about the actually)

Mion & Shion Conversion

So onward with the Wip! I have managed to finish up a lot of things... Most of the pieces have they're first coat of primer, and only need some minor fixings.

Shion's got herself a shirt,

After lots of sanding and first coat of primer

Shion also got her self some extensions! lol. Sculpted the ends of the hair with Magic Sculpt and lots of sanding and reshaping... first coat of primer...

Mion also got the same treatment to the ends of her hair.

Both models initially had super long hair (as you can see from the first post) so I had to massively shorten both girls hair. After that I needed to shape the hair into looking like it ended where I needed it too. Shion will be getting a yellow ribbon as well...

Now... I have had lots of updates on Shion this whole time, but poor Mion has been taking the back burner in this WIP. This whole time I have been sanding and reshaping her massive skirt

In total (so far) I think I have around 6 hours of just sanding put into her skirt! not to mention the extra hours spent modeling and reshaping, adding more putty, taking it away... haha, I'll stop now!
Anyway, it's quite the daunting task. I finally have some rough work to show you!

Note: The skirt was initially built on a wire frame, I built it up using Milliput and did the rest of the work using Magic Sculpt and Bondo (to fix some stuff!)

now it looks pretty crazy with all the colors and what not but this is the rough base for the skirt... (and her shirt I guess!)

Mion & Shion Conversion

So an update! Got a fair bit done in the last week or so... Though it may not look like a whole lot! Most of what I have done is on Shion, she has gotten herself a skirt and some shoes. I have put her in her short skirt and flats like she wears in the anime...

Rough go of her skirt...

after some number of hours of sanding and reputtying, She was ready for her first coat of primer ^_^ Lucky for me there are only a couple of areas I will need to go back and repair!

The primer is grey Krylon for anyone who's interested. Bought at Wal-mart for around $4 a can

Oh, I didn't take a lot of pictures while I was making Shion's shoes but, in order to have a slimmer looking shoe I had to chop off some of her toes!!

I also started on her top, which is a sleeveless, turtle-neck type shirt. Looks kinda haggarded right now but this is what I got so far!

Mion also got the beginnings of a shirt/vest (also in very primitive stages)

Mion & Shion Conversion (minor nudity)

So I have decided to take on a fairly large project. I will be making my own versions of the characters Mion and Shion Sonozaki from the series Higurashi.
The kits I will be using can be found here (Caution: Nude Kits!) for Shion http://www.e2046.com/product.php?products_id=5129 and for Mion http://www.e2046.com/product.php?products_id=737. So I have started doing a lot of the prep work for both girls, nothing too exciting yet but I will update with more exciting progress soon!

Some basic tools I will be using

The prep work on these kits, Mion's in-particular was less then kind! I wont post a lot of the boring stuff, but the gaps in the legs and arms were unruly!
I have puttied the legs and arms for both girls and made the bodies one solid piece so I can hack them into different peices! XD . I will be sculpting them some clothing later so this will make that easier!

I went out and bought a mini hack saw and sawed both ladies in half at the hips and one of mions arms off! as you can see I have also sanded away their nipples!! O.O

Shion had a large bow on her head I needed to get rid of, so I sanded it down and filled the gap...

And Mion needed a bit of a hair cut, so I trimmed her up ;)

I had to clean up the new join in the girls waists, so the got temporarily puttied back together (vasiline in between to make removal easier)

Well, thats all for now! I will be updating again soon! The girls will get some clothes soon I promise!

Ok, so hear is my most recent finished work. I'm actually not to keen on the was she turned out. I had a lot of issues with her assembly.... Never the less, here she is. She's a tiny little girl, but her big staff takes up its fair share of room in the display cabinet.
She is completely hand painted... and REALLY DUSTY for no apparent reason *facepalm*

1/8 Asuka in Plugsuit

So I finished up my most recent work, 1/8 scale Asuka. She matches the Rei I finished earlier the year. She was fairly simple to build, though painting was a test of patience. Her suit needed a lot of coats of red to get the desired color, not to mention all the black detailing was very time consuming! >.>
She is entirely hand painted (like all my work)
